Learning Outside the Classroom
The school site offers many opportunities to take learning outside the classroom. Children might be inspired to write by their beautiful surroundings. Equally, they could find themselves measuring trees or pond-dipping. Younger pupils enjoy the outdoors in Forest School and in the Garden of Imagination.
Learning away from the classroom also takes place in museums, theatres and local environmental centres. Our own Hall can also be transformed into an enjoyable and interactive space in which to explore aspects of the curriculum with visiting actors, historians and scientists.
The outdoors further afield is explored on residential trips.
