Boys Sport Round-Up

Here is a round-up of boys sport.

Unfortunately due to the severe weather conditions a number of football fixtures had to be cancelled this half term.

Year 5 boys had a huge final game of the season when St Paul’s visited on Monday 12th March with the league title up for grabs! Blackheath Prep knew a win would guarantee them top spot but St Paul’s were having a strong season themselves and would not be easy opponents. The boys got off to a strong start and played some beautiful football to go in at half time 5-1 up. St Paul’s fought back well in the second half but Blackheath Prep stayed in front to finish 7-3 winners and secure the league title. Well done boys!

Year 3 had their final football match when Pointers came to visit on Wednesday 14th March. The team have learnt a lot over the course of the season and it was fantastic to see both teams undefeated on the afternoon. One match saw a thrilling 3-3 draw with Blackheath Prep equalising with just a minute to play, showing great resilience which is something we have been working hard on. The other pitch saw Blackheath Prep under pressure for most of the game but they defended strongly as a team and came out 1-0 winners. Well done all!
