Primary Maths Challenge
Earlier this term all Year 5 and Year 6 pupils once again enjoyed the Primary Maths Challenge competition which is open to pupils from schools across the whole country as well as internationally.
The test paper was, as ever, full of interesting and often amusing questions which required much consideration and thought to solve. The final five questions were particularly challenging and finding solutions caused considerable head-scratching! The paper was very much enjoyed by all the keen mathematicians at Blackheath Prep.
We are delighted that fifteen pupils obtained Bronze Certificates. Ten pupils achieved excellent results which earned them Silver Certificates and Sophie and Mirja obtained outstanding scores and were awarded Gold Certificates.
All the pupils deserve praise for taking part in this competition and congratulations are due to all our certificate winners. We shall hear at the beginning of next term whether any of our pupils have been selected to take part in the Bonus Round in February.
