Modern Foreign Languages Day
On Tuesday, 25th February, to celebrate Modern Foreign Languages Day, Year 3 led an assembly in French demonstrating some of the language they have learned this year.
They enjoyed talking about themselves, their pets and their favourite colours in French. The children spoke with huge enthusiasm about aspects of French life that had captured their imagination. This included short sketches about le petit déjeuner, shopping in France as well as a short history of la baguette. They sang beautifully about the famous boulevard in Paris, Les Champs Elysées. The whole school enjoyed a delicious French lunch with crêpes to finish, a fitting celebration of French Day.
