Boys PE Round-Up
Here is a round-up of the fixtures for the first half of the Spring Term.
Year 3 Boys
The boys in Year 3 have had a frustrating half term losing a fair few fixtures to the weather.
However, when they have played they have put in really positive performances. The boys enjoyed a friendly tag rugby fixture against Rosemead and also the vast amount of mud they were covered in!
In football the boys played against Eltham College where both teams lost narrowly before a very encouraging 6th place at the Alleyn’s tournament.
Year 4 Boys
The Year 4 boys (plus a few girls!) have had a busy half term as they started with a hugely impressive performance against Alleyn’s in football. Another excellent win was to follow when St Dunstan’s came to visit. Unfortunately, the Alleyn’s tournament was another fixture lost to the weather.
Year 5 Boys
After a blistering unbeaten start last term, the Year 5 boys have had a bit of a reality check this half term. A big defeat at Eltham College was exactly that. However, it was fantastic to see them come out battling in their next fixture against St Dunstan’s in a highly competitive 0-0 draw.
Hard work pays off boys!
Year 6 Boys
Year 6 had a thrilling first fixture back against Eltham College. The B team suffered defeat but the A team battled to a hugely entertaining goalless draw.
The boys then visited Alleyn’s and put in a display of real determination to come out 3-2 winners and with that retain their unbeaten record this season.
On the tag rugby field all our teams had success against both Rosemead and Oakfield in really tough conditions and it was great to see all the boys working together so well.
Well done boys!
All year groups have represented the school in cross country events at Alleyn’s and Merton Court this half term and some fantastic runs saw podium finishes in both the individual and team events.
Well done to all who took part.
