Girls PE Round-Up
Here is a round-up for Autumn Term 1.
Our Year 6 girls have had a busy start to the term playing both netball and football matches in the first few weeks.
On the football pitch, a side diminished by 11+ assessments, narrowly lost 2-3 to Blackheath High School. There has been mixed success on the netball court with defeats against St Aubyn's School (A lost 2-10, B1 lost 2-4 and B2 lost 2-4), victories against Breaside (A won 8-3, B1 won 2-0 and B2 won 2-1) and mixed results against St Dunstan's (A won 5-2, B1 lost 1-5 and B2 drew 1-1).
This does bode well for the remainder of the term and I am very proud of the work ethic that the girls have shown.
Our Year 5 girls had a match against Pointers, where a combined team pulled off a comprehensive 12-4 win. The girls have both netball and football matches to look forward to after half term and after such a tremendous start, I look forward to seeing their continued progress this term.
Our Year 4 girls have had a slower start to the term, with a full afternoon of netball against Breaside with four teams playing during the course of the afternoon. The final results for the teams were Red won 2-1, Green drew 3-3, Blue won 2-1 and Yellow lost 1-2. Unfortunately their match against Pointers was cancelled but I know that the girls are looking forward to their upcoming netball and football matches after half term.
Our Year 3 girls took on St Christopher's in their first ever netball match. The girls have worked tremendously hard this term and are showing signs of positive things to come! Of the four matches played on the afternoon the girls drew three and lost one. I am very proud of the effort you are putting into your netball, girls!
