Year 6 Prefect Assembly
On Friday 26thApril, the school was treated to the annual Prefect Assembly.
This is an opportunity for the ten prefects to showcase their ability in teamwork, independent research and presentation skills to their peers and teachers. This year the team of ten chose to explore the work of Alfred Nobel and his decision to create a prize for peace in 1901.
Each prefect chose someone that inspired them and provided a detailed and insightful account of the reasons why their person was awarded the prize. The ten recipients all had very varied cultural backgrounds and ideologies, but shared one common belief: working together for a cause can transcend global boundaries.
A hugely enlightening assembly that once again shows the role ‘pupil voice’ plays within the Blackheath Prep community.
