Inter-House Spoken English Competition
Tuesday 19th March saw the return of our annual Inter-House ‘Spoken English’ Competition.
This year, the children performed monologues based on a character that they had studied in class. The children took on a variety of roles ranging from Mo Willem’s Pigeon in Year 1, to Shakespeare’s Mark Antony in Year 6.
The standard was very high, as representatives from each year group and house came to the stage to deliver their monologue. Judging these performances was exceptionally difficult and the quality of each child’s written work was outstanding.
The competition ended with Nightingale House winning the title for this year, with memorable performances from all children involved.
Thank you very much to all of our performers from every house for making this year’s competition so fantastic!
