Reception Visit Shorne Country Park

The children in Reception had a wonderful trip to Shorne Park this week.

The children thoroughly enjoyed taking part in the various workshops; den building, mini-beast hunting and creating their very own self portrait using clay and various natural resources that they foraged for. We were very fortunate with the weather as it was bright and clear for most of the day and it only rained at the very end of the trip (which in fact only made the puddles all the more fun to jump in!). We were also treated to a lovely hot chocolate by the campfire at the end of our visit which warmed us up before our journey back to Blackheath. It was a fantastic opportunity to see all of the children actively and independently demonstrating the skills that they have been learning in their Forest School sessions. The children behaved exceptionally well and they should be very proud of themselves. It was a very physical and active day so I am sure they are ready for a restful weekend. A fantastic trip was had by all!
