Nursery A Highlights

The Nursery A children thoroughly enjoyed their Minibeast Workshop this week.

They listened and watched with fascination as Andrew Smith encouraged them to think about the similarities and differences between us as mammals, and the variety of reptiles, amphibians and insects he had brought in to share.  The children were eager to experience the animals first hand: stroking the head of a tortoise, giving a lizard a cuddle, letting a stick insect rest on their legs or tummy, holding a grass snake and cockroach, and touching the soft and silky leg of a tarantula.  It was a marvellous experience of the beauty and wonder of our animal world.
