Girls PE Round-Up
Here is a round-up of the girls fixtures for this term.
Our Year 6 Girls have had a great start to the term with all girls having the opportunity to take part in both Netball and Football fixtures this term. Both the Netball A and B teams started their season off with a 2-0 victory against Blackheath High. The A team were also victorious against Babington House, again winning 2-0 and they played exceptionally well to place 2nd overall at the Start of League Tournament where they were only beaten 0-1 by the hosts Colfe's. The girls then all travelled to Alleyn's for some Football where the Red team drew 2-2, The Blue team won 1-0 and the Green team lost 2-4. A great start to the Year 6 Netball season, well played girls!
Our Year 5 girls have been working very hard this term and have had the opportunity to take part in both Netball and Football fixtures. Unfortunately their start to the Netball season was not a good one as both the A and B team were defeated by Dulwich Hamlet but the girls showed great resilience to bounce back the following week and took Alleyn's on, on the Football pitch. The Red team won 2-0, the Blue team won 4-1 and despite some great work on the pitch the green team were defeated 2-4. The girls have a wonderful work ethic so I have no doubt they will turn this work into successful results on the court and pitch moving forward.
Our Year 4 girls have had a very busy start to the term with all girls taking part in both Netball and Football fixtures. In their first ever Football match the girls took on Alleyn's with our Red team winning 6-2, the Blue team winning 1-0 and the Green team losing 0-2. On the Netball court the girls have had matches firstly against JAPS and then against St Dunstan's. The Dragons remain undefeated with a 2-0 win followed by a 7-0 win. The Unicorns started with a 1-2 loss but recovered well to win their next match 2-0. The Phoenixes started with a 1-1 draw and then were defeated in their second game. The girls are very enthusiastic and this is evident in their enjoyment when taking part in fixtures – keep it up girls.
