Year 5 Girls Celebrate European Day of Languages
To celebrate European Day of Languages, a group of Year 5 girls attended a languages taster morning at Blackheath High School on Monday 24th September.
Together with children from other local schools, they took part in taster sessions in four languages during the morning. This was followed by lunch and an opportunity to chat with other primary aged children and share experiences of learning languages. The morning included tasters of French, German, Spanish and Mandarin delivered by the Modern Languages department at Blackheath High. The girls participated with enthusiasm and had lots of fun improving their skills in the European languages as well as Mandarin, a new language to the children. It was a very successful morning, enjoyed by all.
