Year 3 Have Fun at Bushcraft

On Monday June 18th an excited Year 3 set off to Bushcraft at Penshurst, in Kent.

What followed was a truly fantastic day with the pupils learning how to safely light a fire in a number of ways.  They also cooked their own lunch on the fires they had lit and then learned about how to set traps for animals (or teachers!) in the wilderness.  Then it was time for the nature walk and some fun games, before a delicious dinner and chocolate brownies. The coach ride home was definitely quieter than the journey there thanks to some tired, but happy children, with everyone having enjoyed themselves and learned something new.
