Site and Facilities

The school is located in an attractive area close to Blackheath Village. It overlooks the heath itself and is near to Greenwich Park. The remarkable five acre site boasts two large playgrounds and extensive playing fields, tennis courts and cricket nets. These all provide excellent sporting opportunities for the children.

The buildings include the beautiful Georgian main building, an awe-inspiring Chapel which has been converted into a library, a magnificent multi-purpose hall and many purpose built form rooms. Specialist teaching rooms include a spacious Science laboratory and a bright and open Art room. Additionally, the school has extensive music facilities including individual tuition and rehearsal spaces.

The beautiful site with colourful gardens, blossoming hedges and attractive pathways provides plenty of space for the children to run about safely. There are also ‘quiet’ areas around the playing field which are equipped with picnic tables and play houses. These provide opportunities for the children to play outdoor chess and draughts. The spacious Dining Hall provides an attractive setting for the children to enjoy lunch.
