Children at Blackheath Prep use the Internet frequently as part of their learning. In school we remind the children regularly about 'online safety' and the importance of keeping themselves safe online as well as considering the impact of their own digital footprint.
At home, children may be allowed unsupervised access to the Internet which, potentially, allows them unlimited access to a wide variety of inappropriate material. We believe that by fostering a sensible approach at home and at school, we will be able to equip children with the skills they need to become responsible users of technology. The School supports parents through the use of a termly newsletter Technology Today, Digital Parenting magazine and regular information evenings for parents.
